The Mills Cemetery is just a few graves in the corner of a pasture on the Floyd K. Mills farm southwest of Sedan. From the highway junction 3 miles south of Sedan, go 2 miles west on the gravel road. Park your car and walk across the fields to the north up on a rise about a ½ mile and in the corner of the pasture are these gravestones. It is not cared for in any way as a cemetery should be. Mr. Lowell Brown of Sedan told me about the graves and took me there. G. Herman Guy. S16 - T34 - R11 of Belleville Township.

A careful scrutiny will tell a sad story of the three Ditman children dying within
12 days of each other, some disease we can assume. The other two graves are of small
children, too.
On the Henry Munger farm northeast of Peru in S10 - T34 - R12 of Belleville Township lies a cemetery with a pathetic story. It is the paupers cemetery of the former county poor farm. No records have been discovered, and no graves are marked. But word of mouth reports several graves there of former residents. The current owners of the farm have built a chain link fence around it and the widow has deeded it back to the county. The only marked grave is that of the owner and his widow has plans to be buried beside him.
