The Wilson Cemetery is located along the Elgin - Hewins road, about 3 miles west of Elgin. It is located on the banks of the Little Caney River and is in S8 - T35 - R10 in Hendricks Township. It is an old cemetery and has not been used for burials in recent years. I counted 12 unmarked stones, two of which are painted with silver paint. There is one elaborate enclosure of rocks, beautifully laid, but no name. Joe Leonard read this in 1982 and was reread by G. Herman Guy in November 1984. This cemetery was or has been known also as Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
