Clear Creek Cemetery
Elk County, Kansas

The Clear Creek cemetery is located in Union Center township, in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Sec 33, Twp 29, R 9E. The coordinates are 37.2915N and 096.25003W. Driving south on County Road #7 it is south of the #7 & Mule road intersection. The fenced area of the cemetery is rather large for so few burials, but I am told a church once occupied the NE quadrent of the cemetery. The cemetery was read by Mildred Martin and Ila Beaumont in November of 1981 and was read and photographed by Don Tharp in February 2007.

This small rural cemetery has been in use over a span of some 150 years with the first burial in 1863 and the last in 2005. The cemetery is well maintained and still in use today.
