Fairview United Brethren Cemetery
Elk County, Kansas

On Oct. 13, 1898 a warranty deed was signed by Albert Criger, Sr. and his wife, Elizabeth granting Daniel Bolin, Emma Bolin, Albert Criger, Lizzie Criger and Nellie Miller, trustees of the United Brethren in Christ appointed by the Quarterly Conference of the Severy Circuit, three acres and ten rods in the NW1/4 of the SW1/4 11-29-10, commencing at the northwest corner running 49 rods east, thence south 10 rods, thence west 49 rods, thence north ten rods to the place of beginning, the same to be used for church and cemetery purposes.

This cemetery is located in Elk County's Paw Paw Township, the physical address being 1748 Road 14. At this writing, (2007) the cemetery is in dire need of caretaking, and has been for many years. It appears the last burial in this cemetery took place in 1933. Following is a list of those known buried in Fairview United Brethren Cemetery as of Nov. 11, 2007.

The information for this listing was gathered and submitted by Marcia Moore who has recorded
most if not all of the cemeteries in the northern tier of townships in Elk County.
