Some dates and some names were completed using old records prepared when Mt. Zion assumed responsibility for maintaining the Wade Cemetery. The good news is that Don and Lois Morgan read and photographed the Wade cemetery in June 2008 and has made it available for us here.
Abbreviations used are c/o=children of, d/o=daughter of, h/o=husband of, s/o=son of, w/o=wife of, ssw=same stone with and the age symbols, y-m-d= years, months and days.

History of Wade Cemetery (author unknown)
The Wade Cemetery ground was given for a cemetery by John and Lourenda Wade on land they
had homesteaded. The Ishams came to Kansas from Noblesville, Indiana and arrived near Fall
River on Indian Creek November 3, 1872. The Ishams & Temperance were parents of John Wade
who was born in 1839. At his death he left $100 to be used in care for the Wade Cemetery,
but his son spent it. About 1952 the ladies that belonged to H. D. U. had box suppers etc.,
to make enough money to fence the cemetery. Their husbands put the fence up. In 1960 the
Mt. Zion Liberty Township Assocation took over the Wade Cemetery to care for it.
